Competition: This video contained The X Files Crack The Code Competition Card Two. Viewers had to answer two questions from "Colony" along with two questions from "Abduction" and call a competition phone number. The competition closed on October 11, 1996. The main prize was a trip to the Twentieth Century Fox Studios in LA to meet Chris Carter. There were 50 minor prizes of an "X-ceptional X-Files pack" valued at $100.
Cover Description: 22 years ago, FBI agent Fox Mulder's sister disappeared, abducted by a force he believes was extraterrestrial. Since then, Mulder (David Duchovny) has devoted his life to finding the truth.

Inside Cover - Behind The Scenes: How do you create the illusion that one actor is in more than one place at one time? All it takes is a little imagination ... behind the scenes. A stunning special effect in "Colony" occurs when five Gregor clones are taken into FBI custody. To achieve the shot, director Nick Marck filmed actor Dana Gladstone inside the rear car and then had him change clothing so he could be shot entering the front car. Matted together, Marck succeeded in creating the illusion of clones by overlapping the scenes and cutting them with the car in motion.
